Preparation for Adults Receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation
Are you an adult seeking to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation?
Congratulations! Through this sacrament your life in the Spirit will be strengthened and enriched! Because this sacrament is so intimately united to the sacraments of Baptism and Eucharist, persons wishing to be confirmed must:
Have been baptized
Have already received their first Eucharist
What happens if the person has not been baptized or received first Eucharist?
For adults who have not yet been baptized or received their first Eucharist but wish to be confirmed, it is highly recommended to participate in a process known as OCIA (Order of Christian Initiation of Adults). Since these individuals require multiple sacraments, they will need more comprehensive formation and preparation through the OCIA process; therefore, they cannot partake in the shorter preparation for Adult Confirmation mentioned earlier.
If you are interested in the sacrament of confirmation or need the Sacraments of Initiation, please contact the parish office with any questions or register for the Adult Faith Formation classes by filling out the form linked below.
